MARK ATKINS

Filmmaker Mark Atkins graduated in 1995 with a B.A. in Motion Picture Production from the University of Central Florida. In 1997 Atkins wrote and directed his first feature film, Night Orchid, a Southern Gothic Mystery, which won numerous awards at the New Orleans Film Festival and the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. Mark has worked as a Producer and Director for travel shows and educational programs and works frequently as a Director of Photography and Camera Operator on award-winning productions. As a Cameraman he has worked all over the globe from South Africa to Easter Island, Fiji and Burma, filming everything from killer whales and great white sharks, to independent feature films and feature documentaries. Mark's most recent work as a Writer and Director was making the 2003 trailer for the San Francisco Independent Film Festival. Mark works in post-production and served as a design consultant and Q.A. Engineer for Accom during the development of their Affinity NLE. Mark is also an avid photographer and animator. His animation for Frame by Frame Fierce's Out of the Scene played in the Whitney Museum in New York. He created the animated sequence for the feature film Robin's Hood. Mark is Director of Photography for B612 Productions' Pirate Nation.
